Following the announcement of the creation of their own label, Anywhere Records, and addition of new drummer Adam Crofts, The Crookes have today released details of their forthcoming fourth album, titled ‘Lucky Ones’, and first single ‘I Wanna Waste My Time On You’.

Sliding into suit with their back catalogue, ‘I Wanna Waste My Time On You’ is a track bursting with optimism and enthusiasm, driven by signature jangling guitars and George Waite’s cries of positivity, making for another instant shot of pop brilliance from the Sheffield quartet.

Lyricist/guitarist Daniel Hopewell says of the track, ‘This track was one of the first we wrote, and at the time we all sat down and said we wanted to do this album differently. It’s a really positive, upbeat album and I’d say it’s by far and away the most pop we’ve ever gone. I Wanna Waste My Time On You’ is about wanderlust and adventure, about seeing the world, about indulging in hedonistic pleasures without once feeling apologetic for it’.

‘I Wanna Waste My Time On You’ is out now accompanied by b side ‘Ex Lovers’ featuring Misty Miller and ‘Lucky Ones’is released on 29th January via Anywhere Records and can be pre-ordered now.
