H&H // Introducing: The Good Natured

Since 2008, brother/sister/friend electro championing trio, The Good Natured have been creating some of the finest “modern wave pop noir” – as they put it – in the land, and with the impending release of their debut album they’re more than creating a buzz.

Their first EPs, released in 2008, 2010 & 2011 respectively, conjured up a new sonic scape of pop sound ranging from the likes of Ladytron, Siouxsie & The Banshees and La Roux and since then they’ve only been increasing musically. Latest singles, ‘Lovers’ (currently available as a free download) and ‘5-HT’, from forthcoming album ‘Prism’ continue to resonate their synth-drenched tones and dark lyrical nature. ‘5-HT’, they explain, is a chemical that aids the release of serotonin and the song follows the concept of love being a drug – it’s all very deep. Both lyrical suits such as this and the gothic electronic type have earnt them acclaim already but, on top of this, the tracks are also stuffed full of catchy hooks. But not limited to their own sounds, the threesome [can you say that when they’re related? – Ed] are also getting a reputation for some brilliant DIY  garage covers of the likes of Two Door Cinema Club and New Order.

All the EPs are available to download from iTunes and they’re currently playing dates in Nottingham, St Albans, and Guildford after a stint with Imagine Dragons, as well as a handful of festivals later in the year which can be found on their website. ‘Prism’ is out Summer 2013.
