White Flag.

I’d be lying if I said that, despite stumbling on a very groovy archived Suede site circa ’99 (comic sans galore), the first hour of today didn’t become a lot more bearable with the advent of the return of Gabriel Bruce….well, sort of anyway.

He’s stuck up a cover of Dido‘s White Flag for Made In Chelsea (Spector did a brill one of Jealous Guy for the same purposes here), which, in complete brutal honesty due to my dad’s fanatical Dido obsession, particularly this track, I’ve always completely hated. However I’ve listened to it 5 times already and it’s only been up 20 minutes because it’s another flawless Bruce transformation (see Silent Night & Cupid, not that those weren’t top to begin with) and you all should check it out – it was free downloadable when I last checked, but don’t tell anyone I told you that just in case.

In other small Gabriel Bruce plugging related news, I cornered Love In Arms as my top album over on H&H a week or so ago and you can read about that, amongst other yearly musical picks, over here…(if you haven’t heard it yet, stop and think, am I doing the right thing here by depriving myself of such utter greatness that Daisy picked it over Suede? – particularly aimed at twitterers who will understand the great capacity of this choice- The answer is always no, go onnn.

And obviously I don’t have a clue, but my optimistic side would like to think another album might hit us next year if we’re really lucky…..
