With the ‘Heavy Money’ EP released back in June and a roaring reputation for manic live shows alongside the likes of Wet Nuns and Superfood, God Damn are a duo already hotly tipped for great things this year, and this week’s release sees their sound step up even further.

Channelling their mix of chaotic noise and harsh melodies, ‘Shoe Prints In the Dust’ is a sure-fire smash single from the Black Country duo driven by thick scuzzy guitar riffs and an intensity that makes for a sharp shock of ‘in your face’ rock sound.

With the musical approach drawing from hard grunge sounds of Jesus Lizard, Nirvana and Pixies, the thrashing cries of Thom Edward cut through the madness bringing a raw edge of snarling emotion not disimilar to that of Shane Parsons (DZ Deathrays) or Black Francis himself and all ties together to capture the essence of unadultered lunacy within 3 minutes.

The video itself showcases the surreal attack on the world their music implies and if this is anything to go by, the duo are building their riotious noise from strength to strength and are set to smash up more than a few stages around the world this year.

‘Shoe Prints In The Dust’ is out 21st April via One Little Indian Records and can be pre- ordered here.
