Gracing us with this week’s single are Leeds finest, Eagulls, and their latest monster from this year’s incredible debut LP, Nerve Endings.

Starting as a supercharged psychedelic wall of noise, the track snakes it’s way into thunderous tones of melodic distortion and raw energy driven by screaming slight guitars – something the outfit have showed themselves to be unstoppable force at, and that’s still more than worth all the praise it can gather – whilst frontman George Mitchell’s assured live prescence is captured throughout his engrossing delivery of deadpan angst and expressed effortlessly with each line.

Soaked fast in a wash of reverb and injected with the uncomprimising drumming storm of Henry Ruddell, the track proves to be a showcase of the best of the twisted punk noise the band seamlessly create, and one waiting desperately to be gratefully recieved into the arms of every frantic crowd in the land.

With the video – complete with rotting pigs brain – already winning awards, and the music itself worthy of more than a few, Eagulls are still confirming themselves to be very much onto something this year, and Nerve Endings is no exception.
