RADSOUND // SOTW: I FOUND A NEW WAY – TWIN PEAKS

Driving the scuzz this week are Chicago quartet Twin Peaks with ‘I Found A New Way’.
With their second LP Wild Onion set to drop in America next week, the UK are still playing catch up with the ‘heavy pop’ stylings of Twin Peaks – they only released their debut EP, Flavor, here a few weeks ago – but nonetheless, their latest single is a fine form of introduction to these shores.
Their sound captures the brilliantly weird nature of their Lynch fueled namesake, boasting a blithe sense of dreamy guitar fueled pop and vocal chants destined to be shouted at the top of your lungs in a crammed mass of drink induced people having the time of their lives – frontman Cadien Lake James sounds like he already is.
Combining the unpolished raw sound from this energy and enticingly slack guitars, alongside the shuffling sense of power from Connor Brodner on drums, Twin Peaks are already onto a winner with this track and with 2 albums already in the pipeline headed our way, things can only improve from here on in.
I Found A New Way is out on 4th August.
