RADSOUND // LIVE PREVIEW: THE BIG MOON
Originally published on Radsound.
With a mere 3 single releases to their name, The Big Moon have been swiftly capulted into the spotlight as one of the most exciting new bands around and are just about to embark on their first ever UK headline tour. With the set of dates culminating with their biggest headline show yet at the 100 Club in London, it’s about time everyone caught on.
Since the release of debut single ‘Sucker‘ last year, the all-girl London four-piece have been garnering wealthy praise for their darkly fuzzed-up pop infusions and rightly so. From the distorted guitar lines and infectiously graven vocals of front woman Juliette Jackson to the crashing drums, driving basslines and occasional shimmers of synths laced within their handful of self produced singles and B-sides so far – released through Hard Up Records, the quartet produce a sound that harks back to the grungy depths of the 90s with all the sweet sparkles of modern times.
With the promise of a debut album coming later this year and having already toured with the likes of heavyweights Yak and The Maccabees, there’s no better time to catch the outfit’s frantic live shows spanning across the country next month. You can find the dates below:
